Acts 12:1~25
Acts 12:1 Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church. MC VC
Acts 12:2 And he killed James the brother of John with the sword. MC VC
Acts 12:3 And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.) MC VC
Acts 12:4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. MC VC
Acts 12:5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. MC VC
Acts 12:6 And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison. MC VC
Acts 12:7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands. MC VC
Acts 12:8 And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me. MC VC
Acts 12:9 And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision. MC VC
Acts 12:10 When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him. MC VC
Acts 12:11 And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews. MC VC
Acts 12:12 And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying. MC VC
Acts 12:13 And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda. MC VC
Acts 12:14 And when she knew Peter’s voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate. MC VC
Acts 12:15 And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel. MC VC
Acts 12:16 But Peter continued knocking: and when they had opened the door, and saw him, they were astonished. MC VC
Acts 12:17 But he, beckoning unto them with the hand to hold their peace, declared unto them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, Go shew these things unto James, and to the brethren. And he departed, and went into another place. MC VC
Acts 12:18 Now as soon as it was day, there was no small stir among the soldiers, what was become of Peter. MC VC
Acts 12:19 And when Herod had sought for him, and found him not, he examined the keepers, and commanded that they should be put to death. And he went down from Judaea to Caesarea, and there abode. MC VC
Acts 12:20 And Herod was highly displeased with them of Tyre and Sidon: but they came with one accord to him, and, having made Blastus the king’s chamberlain their friend, desired peace; because their country was nourished by the king’s country. MC VC
Acts 12:21 And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them. MC VC
Acts 12:22 And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man. MC VC
Acts 12:23 And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost. MC VC
Acts 12:24 But the word of God grew and multiplied. MC VC
Acts 12:25 And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, when they had fulfilled their ministry, and took with them John, whose surname was Mark. MC VC
Acts 15:1~41
Acts 15:1 And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved. MC VC
Acts 15:2 When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question. MC VC
Acts 15:3 And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren. MC VC
Acts 15:4 And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them. MC VC
Acts 15:5 But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses. MC VC
Acts 15:6 And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter. MC VC
Acts 15:7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe. MC VC
Acts 15:8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; MC VC
Acts 15:9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. 2 I MC VC
Acts 15:10 Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? MC VC
Acts 15:11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they. 12 I MC VC
Acts 15:12 Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them. MC VC
Acts 15:13 And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me: MC VC
Acts 15:14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name. MC VC
Acts 15:15 And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written, MC VC
Acts 15:16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: MC VC
Acts 15:17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things. MC VC
Acts 15:18 Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world. MC VC
Acts 15:19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: MC VC
Acts 15:20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. MC VC
Acts 15:21 For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day. MC VC
Acts 15:22 Then pleased it the apostles and elders with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas and Silas, chief men among the brethren: MC VC
Acts 15:23 And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia. MC VC
Acts 15:24 Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment: MC VC
Acts 15:25 It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, MC VC
Acts 15:26 Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. MC VC
Acts 15:27 We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth. MC VC
Acts 15:28 For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; MC VC
Acts 15:29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well. MC VC
Acts 15:30 So when they were dismissed, they came to Antioch: and when they had gathered the multitude together, they delivered the epistle: MC VC
Acts 15:31 Which when they had read, they rejoiced for the consolation. MC VC
Acts 15:32 And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them. MC VC
Acts 15:33 And after they had tarried there a space, they were let go in peace from the brethren unto the apostles. MC VC
Acts 15:34 Notwithstanding it pleased Silas to abide there still. MC VC
Acts 15:35 Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also. MC VC
Acts 15:36 And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they do. MC VC
Acts 15:37 And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark. MC VC
Acts 15:38 But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work. MC VC
Acts 15:39 And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus; MC VC
Acts 15:40 And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God. MC VC
Acts 15:41 And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches. MC VC
Acts 22:20
Acts 22:20 And when the blood of thy martyr Stephen was shed, I also was standing by, and consenting unto his death, and kept the raiment of them that slew him. MC VC
Galatians 2:1~21
Galatians 2:1 Then fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also. MC VC
Galatians 2:2 And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain. MC VC
Galatians 2:3 But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised: MC VC
Galatians 2:4 And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage: MC VC
Galatians 2:5 To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you. MC VC
Galatians 2:6 But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me: God accepteth no man’s person:) for they who seemed to be somewhat in conference added nothing to me: MC VC
Galatians 2:7 But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; MC VC
Galatians 2:8 (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:) MC VC
Galatians 2:9 And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision. MC VC
Galatians 2:10 Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do. MC VC
Galatians 2:11 But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed. MC VC
Galatians 2:12 For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision. MC VC
Galatians 2:13 And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation. MC VC
Galatians 2:14 But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews? MC VC
Galatians 2:15 We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, MC VC
Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. 15 I MC VC
Galatians 2:17 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid. 7 I MC VC
Galatians 2:18 For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. 5 I MC VC
Galatians 2:19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. 7 I MC VC
Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. 50 I MC VC
Galatians 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. 11 I MC VC
